This page lists the cookies, browser storage and third-party requests used on localfinds.uk. Local Finds does not use advertising or social media tracking pixels. Optional analytics only runs if you accept it.

- Purpose
- Keeps Local Finds admin team members signed in. Not set for ordinary visitors.

- Until sign-out; the session token refreshes automatically while signed in
lf_session_id
Analytics (optional)- Provider
- Local Finds (first party)
- Purpose
- A random ID that groups your page views, searches and clicks on business contact links so we can count visits. Only created after you accept analytics.

- Until you withdraw consent (we delete it) or clear your browser storage
Analytics event records
Analytics (optional)- Provider
- Local Finds (stored in our own database)
- Purpose
- Records the event type, page path, referring site, device type (mobile/tablet/desktop), related business/category/location and the random ID above. Only sent after you accept analytics.

- Rolling 12 months. A daily automatic job then removes the random ID and referring site from older records, leaving only anonymous counts
Third-party content
Google Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google's font servers, which receive your IP address and browser details as part of the request. We don't set cookies for this.
OpenStreetMap. Some pages show a map whose tiles load from OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address as part of the request. We don't set cookies for this.
Links to business websites, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok take you to those sites, which have their own policies.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Use "Cookie Settings" in the footer at any time. If you turn analytics off, we stop recording new events and delete the lf_session_id from your browser. You can also clear local storage in your browser settings.
